The school bus comes and picks me up at 730 am every weekday. It's really early, so the school provides breakfast. Mommy doesn't want me to put on too much weight, so I only get a cup of hot chocolate or milo before I hit the road... sometimes I will beg her for 2 cookies... who can resist such a cute face... pretty please please....

Morning Shower

Initially, waking up and hit the shower was a painful affair. After a couple of day, it's the most enjoyable morning affair. I was raised taking baths, but after a few days of hot shower, it's so a wonderful thing to wake up to. I actually took longer shower than my mommy or my daddy. They have to take theirs before me, or I'll used up all the hot water.

It's my 1st day back in school. I'm now in Kindergarten 1 (K1), and this is my very 1st time going to school on a school bus. I'm really excited. Daddy played with me before I head off to school. Daddy and Mommy sent me off on the bus. It's a delightful day, and a great start in my journey to knowledge.

The hotel has a new year eve party and we joined in the fun. There is lot of great food, and the perfect spot to watch fireworks. There is fireworks all night long. We have never seen so much fireworks... not the safest, but sure is beautiful... and Mommy and Daddy lit a paper lantern and set it off with great wishes for the family.

Happy Birthday!!!! I was out with Mommy and Daddy, and when we came back to our room, I was surprised by the balloon and the lovely cake that Daddy had arranged for me. I really have a great day with my Daddy and Mommy, and a great surprise from them again. I pretty much ate the entire cake all by myself. Thank you!!! I can start telling everyone I am FOUR now.

Sandcastle Building...

We brought the good weather with us. The pool is always busy, but the beach is just a stone throw away. So we got ourselves some chairs and build our sandcastle. Daddy is a master at sandcastle building, but we need to start small. I'm not going to be able to focus and complete a regular size sandcastle. Also, the sun always has her way of making you feel tired after a while.

I'm not exactly a fish, and we haven't spent much time at the pool all my time in Singapore. Vacation like this, give me ample of time to work on my swimming. Most importantly, I've overcome the fear of being unable to touch the bottom of the pool... and subsequently move around and not being afraid and needed Mommy all the time. Swimming... CHECK!

I've received a birthday invitation from my classmate, Clara. It's her 4th birthday and I am invited. I was really excited for weeks. Finally, the day has come, and Daddy took me out to shop for a present for Clara. It wasn't easy, when Daddy pick up the present and hand it over to me, my first words to him, "Thank you Daddy for buying..." Oops they weren't for me.... *Sigh* Guess that's ok, I got a even better present, after walking for a while, I saw something I really like, it's a japanese doll named Mell... and it comes with a doctor kit... guess what I get, some toys for me... The party went well, I really enjoy the show the clown puts up, it was hilarious. When we first arrived, the other kids came crowding around me, and some of the older girls even held me. I'm like a life size doll to them, I presume. But they take great care of me. I've a heart shape balloon and a butterfly balloon... and a nice goodie bag... it was great fun for me. Sadly, I have to head home soon, it's past my bed time. I hope Clara have had a great time too.

Did you know we've got the fun pass to Universal Studio Singapore? Well, so we are back again. This time, it wasn't as scary as my first visit. At least we didn't take the ride on the red dragon. Mommy and I actually took the dino ride at least 4 times, and I am starting to like the kiddy rides. No more fast and furious for me, at least right now. We have a great time as a family. Daddy and Ben did the other rides too, we hope the cyborg ride and the magadascar rides will open soon, it will be more fun...

Mommy has been coming home with balloons of all shapes and designs... the interns at her work are participating in a children day event, and they have been practising how to make balloons for the events. Before the children actually benefits from the day, I actually get to keep the balloons they made. I love my flower balloon... it didn't last long, but still I have a couple days of fun with it. It acts as my accessory too.

National Day Celebration

The flags of Singapore hung outside every household, and along every street, you will see banners and slogan of the National Day. It's Singapore's 45th Birthday. Happy Birthday Singapore! All schools celebrate the nation's independence day a weekday earlier. So today, we have a school celebration. We have to come to school in red and white, the color of the nation's flag. We also learnt to sing a song, which symbolize the nation's flag in mandarin. It's one song that I can never get it out of my head... but I do it pretty well.

These are some pictures taken when we were at the cabin. Mommy got them from the camera that she forgot to bring home, and luckily Ben brought it home when he came home. They have a nice park by the cabin, and I played there for quite a bit. The only thing I really didn't like was the spider webs. It's the great outdoor, there are bound to have insects, just didn't expect to see that many spider webs. We don't have that many bugs in Singapore, but we do have deadly bites from bugs... like mozzie (dengue fever, malaria... ). At least it's not the same in the US.

It took Mommy quite a while to find a sunglasses that fits her and me. Don't I look like a special agent, and it matches my outfit too. Our lazy sunday afternoon ended in another roadside restaurant where you stay out from the hot late afternoon sun, and enjoy a nice cool drink and watch the world goes by next to you. That's pretty much what city life is all about. You can't get away from the people, why not just sit back and enjoy the crowd.

After a long walk from Ion to Centrepoint, we decide to sit down for a short snack at a rest area in front of Alley Bar. We usually don't come down this way on the weekends, but this week is different, we are being adventurous. It was great just sitting down, relaxing and watching the people going by. The new malls across the roads are getting quite a crowd. Of course, we will also play some card games, like Uno... Daddy really know how to play this game, look at him teaching me how this works. Saying Goodbye Again

It's time to head home, saying goodbye is never easy, especially to my grandparents. I hardly get to see them, and each time I see them, it's for a short 2 weeks. If we are lucky, we get 3 weeks. Despite the short visit, we are still very close, and I will always remember my lovely Grandma, my funny Grandpa, the silly doggies, the greedy rabbits and the fast deers.... and many many more sweet memories we have shared.

My cousin, Haley came to see me, and helped out Grandma. Grandma had to have an operation. Everything went well, and she is home the next day. But she can't carry anything more than 10 pounds for a while and is on a liquid diet until her throat is no longer sore. Poor Grandma! We all tried to help out, just hanging around her makes her happy. Grandma is always so easily contented.

Daddy had to get a hair cut, so Mommy and I went to the little play area in the mall. It's just like the play areas in most mall in Singapore, except bigger. There are many children around, and they clean this play area regularly during the day. We had to go because the staff had to clean the play area, but we have had fun.

We been there 3 days... it took us a while to figure out that the fish like live baits... and definitely 2 - 3 meters deep... so we set our line with markers on them... and stick some live worms on them... and guess what, we can't stop the fish from biting on our lines... everyone is a winner that day... including me... We drove to Lake Vermillion, by breaking that into 2 day drive... the first day Daddy actually stopped after midnight, which gets us only approximately 3 hours away from our cabin. The next day, we arrived at our cabin. We didn't go fishing that day, as you can see, no catch from Daddy or Ben... luckily we got steaks and sausages from the local convenience store... we simply hang out around the lakeside, and it's lovely... there is 2 playgrounds, and our cabin is right in front of a small beach...

We found a new hangout place, it's 313@Orchard... there is a couple of nice restaurants that you can sit out, but away from the sun. The tall buildings around the area provide great shade for people who wants to chill out on a hot Sunday afternoon. We walked around orchard, and what's next? Happy Memorial Day! It's the long weekends. We don't celebrate Memorial Day in Singapore, but luckily Vesak Day falls on a Friday, and give us a long weekends. I spent the long weekends at Gong gong's and on Sunday, we went out for a great brunch at Raffles City. The chicken noodle soup at the basement is great... We went shopping thereafter, and guess what I've got? I've got Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear... They are collectibles, and I love them...

Accident

Today is parent-teacher conference day, Mommy went to the school to meet the teacher, while I stayed home with Aunty Lilia... After Mommy's visit to the school, she headed off to work, just before she reached her office, Aunty called Mommy and told her I have had a fall, and cut my ear... Mommy had to rush home to get me to the doctor. Luckily it was a small cut on the cartilage. The doctor managed to stop the bleeding, and put a little bandaid on my ear. Thereafter, I went to Gong-gong's house, and spent the afternoon with Gong-gong.

My Day at the Hospital

I was sick... really sick, had diarrhea for over 30 hours, and after 2 visits to the hospital. The doctor decided to put me under observation due to dehydration. Beside having to run to the bathroom every 15 mins, I'm stuck with the IV drip. It wasn't the best experience I ever had. Dr. Mark Loh was really good, he came to make sure that I'm alright on his off day. Daddy bought me a white board, and coloring book to keep me occupied during my stay. And Mommy stayed in the hospital with me. I was diagnosed with salmonella, and luckily for me, they found the cause and put in on the right antibiotics. In a couple of days, I was feeling better. After this experience, I finally know how to tell my mommy when I do need to use the bathroom for number 2.

My Hello Kitty Phone

It wasn't that I haven't have enough toy phone, but I have to get this particular phone as my classmate, Jing Le has one too. I want to have the same one as hers, I guess it's peer pressure that's working me out. I'm not surprise it started on me at this age, peer pressure is something that one cannot ignore at any age, just how much can one accept this, and live with it. Guess I'm still too young to manage that right now.

IKEA Day

Daddy decided to spend the weekends working on the house, so we headed to IKEA, and took a really long walk at IKEA. They have really clever gadget for the houses in Singapore, typically for small apartments just like in Europe. We bought some wood planks for the shelves in the storage room. Daddy wants to put up a bigger shelving unit, so that Mommy can put her pots and pans that she bought over time in the storage room. We didn't have a big cabinet space in the kitchen, so the pots and pans have to go into the storage room. Before heading home with our tools, we have our lunch at the cafeteria, they have the best swedish meat balls, don't forget to try them when you are at IKEA. After lunch, we headed home. It took a while before everything is cleared out of the storage room, setup the shelves and putting everything back. What a day?! Luckily I'm too young to help out, I won't want to be under Daddy's command, he is so stern when he is working hard... I prefer my fun Daddy more.

This is one of those days that Mommy needs a break. Daddy took me to the coffeeshop down the road to get breakfast for Mommy, and we got roti prata. One of the things that I will miss from Singapore. My favourite is cheese prata, just like my brother, Ben. We missed him.

Hanging Out with Mom & Dad

It's the weekends again, and a long weekends, with labour day on Saturday, that means we get Monday off. That's great, we went to the mall to pick up Daddy's ring (had to get it polish, so it will look just like new). Daddy went to get his hair cut, while Mommy and I went to the play area in the mall. A little girl came along and grab hold of me really tight, it wasn't the nicest experience, but I dealt with it nicely... and so we cut our play time short. Gladly, Daddy came back for us shortly...

We had a good breakfast at home, bacon... eggs and rosti.. hmmm.... then we headed down to Orchard, and window shop... didn't exactly turn out to be window shopping... we got some stuff for the house. One of the phone plug blew, so we have to get that replaced. Aunty Lilia came to pick me up after dinner, as Mommy and Daddy are going to the movies (their quiet time out, I guess). We have a great day... after all, I've got 2 new story books... hehe

Universal Studio Singapore

The perfect day to go to Universal Studio Singapore and experience the fun in the studio. Daddy, Mommy, Yiyi, Gong gong and Po po took me to the Universal Studio, it's like family day out. Although this is the soft opening and many of the areas such as magadascar and the star wars rides are not available, but we have had such a great deal of fun. My 1st ride on the rollar coaster was truly an experience for me. Wasn't exactly what I expected. I do like the 4D movie, and the donkey show, they were really fun to watch. Not forgetting all the great things to buy there, that's where I got a princess crown... Thankfully the weather was perfect, we all have fun. In fact, it was so much fun that we stayed there until it close for the day.

Daddy is coming home today, but after midnight. We went out to get Daddy a present for anniversary... and then came to Gong-gong's house. I made a mess on Yi-yi's bedroom, and disassemble Yi-yi's toys... it's all good, I know how to put them back together again. I'm really good at this.

We woke up early today, it's our 2nd weekends without Daddy, but we did pretty well. We went out for breakfast together, and then head off to the grocery store and get our weekly supplies... then it's back home to do some cleaning... thereafter, we headed to Gong-gong's. It's awfully quiet without Daddy, we go to bed pretty early too. Mommy lets me hang out with her in her room before bedtime, and get some quiet time between us. We'll just have a couple more days to go before Daddy is home, and bring some live into this house.

Happy Meal

Daddy is not in town, and Mommy wants me to feel really special and make me happy... a Happy meal will do the trick... I never was able to finish a cheese burger, but now I can easily do that. And I've got a new table to go with my two chairs... it took Daddy and Mommy quite a while to find the table, but it's all worth it.

Lazy Sunday

Today is a beautiful day, for sure, it didn't rain in the morning, for once we see the bright sun... and I woke up at 6 am... Mommy took me to the coffee shop and we bought breakfast... we ate well this morning, then we headed to the grocery store to stock up for the week... I even got my capri sonni... haven't had that for a while. After getting the sheets done, we headed to Gong-gong, and spent the afternoon there... Baby Ethan came to visit, I haven't seen him since he was 1 month old, now he is a chubby little boy. Daddy sent us a video of Grandma, Grandpa and Ben... now I know where he is at... no wonder he is not home yet. Mommy decided to make my evening more fun, by making a big bubble bath and put my float on, so I can pretend I'm in a swimming pool... we have a great time in the bath... after that I'm exhausted and crashed shortly after my bedtime story and prayer (did I forget to tell you that I say my prayers before my bedtime now... wasn't much, but it's now my daily ritual)

The Day When Daddy is Out of Town

Daddy left for Peoria this Friday... I wasn't exactly sure where he was heading, I thought he was just going to be out for a while... he didn't come home on Saturday, and I guess he is going to be away for a while. Mommy took me out, we went to see Falko, then get some gas, and then to Gong gong's house. I ate a lot of snack there... Gong gong has a lot of cookies... all kinds of flavour... we got home, and headed to bed... Daddy will only be in Peoria when I wake up tomorrow... he texted us when he is at every stop, and left me really sweet voice messages... I miss my Daddy... come home soon...

Daddy is not interested in watching Disney Channel with me, so when he is home, he will be watching his "regular tv", I don't quite get this regular tv stuff, and will ask Mommy to take me to bed... I meant her bed, so we can watch some Disney Channel show before bedtime story. I wasn't exactly watching the show, afterall I have most of the shows on Apple TV, just like to hang out with Mommy on her bed... and goof off a lil...

Every kids have a sweet tooth and so did I. Each time, when Mommy bakes cookies, I will sure to be there with my baby spoon, and helping myself to the cookie dough... and when it's done, I'm always the first to grab my share of cookie... No chocolate chip cookies is left after a week...

Finally Back to School

I'm glad to be back to school... we did art and craft this week, and look at my duckie crown... reminds me of the days at the Petite Club... we did a lot of role play... and I really enjoy it. Mommy is collecting all my handiwork, so I can have something to remember when I was little, before my long term memory kicks in.

Not Well for the Week

I fell ill on Sunday evening, was running a high temperature... Mommy and Daddy took me to the hospital, managed to get my temperature under control, but it was a roller coaster ride all week... Mommy took a day off from work just to make sure I'm alright... and took me to the doctor again... didn't get any better until the end of the week... glad that was over...

I Want to Stay With Gong Gong

As we went on our vacation before the start of Chinese New Year, it's a tradition to get together with the family to have a reunion dinner. So we have one on the very last day of Chinese New Year... Daddy had a work dinner to attend and cannot make it, but Mommy, Aunty Lilia and I made it to the dinner... Thereafter, I wasn't going to go home... I'm going to stay with Gong gong... at least for the weekends...

It's great coming back home from a great vacation, but it's hard getting used to not having Daddy and Mommy in the same room... I gave them quite a hard time, as I didn't want to go to bed by myself, so Mommy and I decided to bunk in Ben's room for the week, so Daddy can get some good night rest... it's so nice to sleep on a bigger bed...

Last Day of Our Vacation

It's time to say goodbye to the lovely vacation we have here at Club Med Cherating Beach... I wanted to go to the Petite Club, but not today... it's time to head back home. Last Day at the Petite Club

Today is my last day at the Petite Club... I made Daddy and Mommy finished their breakfast as soon as possible, by eating their share.... then off I went to the Petite Club. Today we have a rehersal for tonight's Jungle Show... I didn't want Daddy around with me, as I have made myself a new friend... The Petite Club members are going to be turtles in the show... After the rehersal, Daddy took me for a dip in the swimming pool, we have such great fun. I was so tired that I crashed before dinner, and missed my show tonight. That's alright, I have a lot of fun at the rehersal and at the pool.

I kinda missed my morning walk with the Petite Club this morning, we waited at the train station for them to come back from Pandai Beach. That's alright, I made it for my swim in the pool, that's my favourite part of the day. After that, we head off to our lunch at the restaurant with the children from Mini Club. One more year to go, and I will join them in their adventures. All these activities have been tired me out, I'm out by 7ish...

Sandcastle Day

Beside the daily walk around the village, swim in the pool, lunch at the restaurant and snack time at the snack bar, we have a sandcastle building event in the late afternoon. All the children from the Petite Club and Mini Club gathered at the beach and build sandcastles as a team. This is Petite Club sandcastle... well, Daddy helped get us started, we are all new to this construction thingy, and we did pretty well... The fresh air does kinda make you tired, I slept pretty early today.

My Award Day

It's my special day today, I received a medal for my performance last night. All the other children received their medals too. We really did well last night, it wasn't quite an event, and everyone enjoyed themselves, and so did I.

Show Time

I was awoke by the warmth of the sun from the crack of the curtains and the lovely chirping of the birds. We started our day with a walk down the beach, then breakfast the restaurant, and off to the Petite Club. This afternoon we have our final rehersal, as tonight is the night where we perform on stage. I walked up to stage, surprised to see the huge crowd, when everyone saw how shy I was, they cheered for me. I did well, although I didn't do my routine right, but I really enjoyed it. It was a great experience to stand in front of a crowd of 500 people.

Amazing 1st Day

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when Daddy and Mommy dropped me off at the Petite Club, I thought it's just another play group or something similar, and how wrong was I. We play dressed up, and I'm a rabbit today, and we did a little parade around the village. Thereafter, we swim in the pool at the Petite Club. Daddy and Mommy came to pick me up at 5ish, and we played at the Mini Club playground. It was a fun filled 1st day of our vacation.

The Start of the Vacation

It was a long 10 hour drive for Daddy, we were stuck at the customs for 3 hours. It's the holidays and many people are going home or going away to Malaysia. We are one of them, but it's all worth it. We arrived in the afternoon, took a dip in the pool, and I danced with Daddy before dinner... Dinner was great, we have ice-cream for dessert.

At the Allergy Doctor

We headed to the Allergy doctor today, to get me tested for allergies... Like everyone else, I'm allergic to dust mites... however, I'm also allergic to pets... that's not good at all... I wanted Daddy to buy me a hamster, and looks like I'm not going to get any... The test wasn't exactly the nicest thing, I was itching after the test, but luckily the chemical they used on me, was only temporary. Plus, the toys in the clinic distracted me, and I totally forgot about how itchy I was...

Mommy came home early on Friday to check on me... and we have a new couch delivered to our house... The little cafe down at Raffles City has one of the best wanton noodles soup... really yummy... I ate the entire bowl of it... They also have really yummy crepe too... then we have a scope of frozen yogurt... they were absolutely delicious... We took a walk down to Marina Square and had great fun just walking and checking out what's new in there... it was great to spend time with Daddy and Mommy

Friday Night Out

Friday night is always a night for family get together dinner... tonight we are at Pasta Fresca for dinner. I have had a mini pizza, but oh mine... it wasn't mini at all. It's a 10 inch pizza, for a little tiny girl like me. There was no way I can finish that thing, but I did well, I ate 3 slices... and have a little bit of Mommy's carbonara... they made one of the best carbonara there.

Hanging Out At Home

We did pretty well this weekends. We pretty much walk everywhere. We will park our car in a place, and walked for 15 mins to the doctor at Tanglin Camden Medical Centre. We don't drive to have our breakfast, we walked... It was pretty good exercise, it helps me to sleep better at night. When I'm home, I will take my scooter around the house, getting around, and getting into things. It's all about staying healthy and being healthy, as Daddy would tell us... We are going to be a healthy family.

Whoever came out of this concept of putting play areas in malls definitely knows how to make it welcoming for family with children. I'm like Grandma... we like our pop... who said pop make you hyper... it puts me right back to sleep after a long day... of walking with Daddy and Mommy... 2nd Day in School

This is my 2nd day to school, I'm all dressed up for it, and waiting for my Daddy. Today, it's just going to be me and Daddy, Mommy is back at work. I was pretty shy, and am still trying to warm up. Daddy wasn't standing near the window watching me, I tried to look for him but he is hiding from me. I sure was happy when I see him standing at the waiting area waiting for me, after 2 hours in class, I'm totally worn out, and crashed shortly when I arrived home.
